HEAR ALEJANDRA ON JS WILLIAM’S NEW ALBUM …

Alejandra is so excited for the release of longtime friend and collaborator JS William’s new album Twelve Circles, The Break, The Cast. “I’m so proud to have sung on this record. JS is a powerhouse musician and an innovative solo artist in his own right. I was really honoured when he asked me and I was thrilled when I heard the results. He’s reinvented some of my favourite standards with these crazy beautiful arrangements. He made me fall in love with those songs all over again.”

Original ink drawings used in the artwork for ‘La boca’

Alejandra recently shared some of her original drawings of fictitious deep-sea creatures. She created them for the art work for ‘La boca’. The title track was inspired by a National Geographic article she had read about the discovery of a sub glacier lake in Antarctica.

“It took ages to get consensus on an album cover everybody liked. In the end cutting my face in half seemed to do the trick. This photo is from an early version I was playing with. I was still drawing a lot of the imaginary creatures at the time and I photographed this because I always loved the rough, unpolished nature of it.”
